Sosúa Bay

Here is a map with all of the dive sites we can explore here in Sosúa Bay. From wall dives, to swim throughs, to wrecks, there is something for everyone!

Canyon

Canyon

Canyon is a unique dive site in Sosúa Bay because it is where the team at Fundación Ecológica Maguá works hard to conserve coral. If you go diving/snorkeling here, Dive Cabarete donates 200 pesos per person to the foundation. Canyon has a maximum depth of 70 feet, but the average depth is between 40-50 feet. If you are interested in helping save our oceans, check out our conservation page where you can do eco dives and eco snorkel.

Three Rocks

Three Rocks

Three Rocks is the best site for those learning how to dive, or for those that love a shallow dive. The dive starts out at 10-15 feet. The dive site has a very creative name. It is called "Three Rocks" because there are three rocks here. The rocks are full of sergeant majors, eels, blue tangs, sand snakes and sometimes rays.

Puntilla

Puntilla

Puntilla features 3 sunken cannons from an old galleon. Puntilla is a wall dive where you can find seahorses, frog fish, trumpet fish, porcupine fish, garden eels, and much more! If you listen closely during your dive, you will hear the reef, which is a great sign that it is happy and healthy. Puntilla has a max depth of 100 feet.

Zingara Wreck

Zingara Wreck

Zingara Wreck is an old cargo freighter that was sunk purposely by a German man named Hans. He sank it for divers in 1992. This freighter sits at 118ft/36m deep. At Zingara Wreck, typically there are larger groupers, lots of yellow snappers, electric blue fish and garden eels hanging around the wreck. You must be Advanced Open Water or have Wreck Speciality to be eligible to dive at the wreck.

Palmeras

Palmeras

If you are looking for an advanced dive, Palmeras is the site for you. With several swim throughs, this is a dive you won't want to miss. You must be Advanced Open Water or have Deep Dive Speciality to be eligible to go to Palmeras.

Deep Wall

Deep Wall

If you are looking for seahorses, Deep Wall is your best chance to find them. It is also a great place to find octopus. On top of the wall it ranges from 60-70 feet. The wall is a deep wall-- hence the name so if you go to the side of the wall it can range from 100-110 feet.

West Wall

West Wall

West Wall is a great location for snorkelers and divers. The dive starts at around 10 feet with an abundance of beautiful fan coral and lots of marine life, but it gets as deep as 60 feet.

Coral Gardens

Coral Gardens

Would you believe it if we told you that Coral Gardens is actually full of gardens of coral? This beautiful site offers many different types of coral and also a lot of sealife.

Airport Wall
